today's race was, well, awesome!

Geeze, what a great course today..it was long, it had lots of variety, it was a blast...

how it shook out: got a nice little pre ride in, was smilin the whole way. hopped on the trainer and did some warm up as leah raced. kind of tooled around for a bit and did a quick wardrobe change before the race. steve the pirate and ruffandwife showed up just before we went off, you guys kick ass...and those costumes...YEAH! didn't have the best start in the world, but you know my starts aren't ever all that fantastic. got in the groove after i flew by ghb, next on the hotlist was g, byebye... a small group had formed: some dude from sbcu, jeg from contender, party boy and me... we were cooking. sbcu had some action in the pit and dropped off, party boy and i rode away from jeg... party boy did a superman into the ditch as i was on his wheel, that was scary luckily he's ok though, although a bit more dirty. jeg made contact wtih me again and took the rains. he was driving it hard on the cement, but struggled in the dirt, so i chose a good time to pass and never looked back... somewhere near the beginning of the race i pulled, or tried to pull, an ali over the barriers...made the first clean, but fooked up the attempt at the 2nd...the crowd was way into it...think leah has a vid, so look for that later.

shouts out to: steve the pirate, ruff, bruce, gordie, all the canyon crew, and everyone else who yelled something that sounded like my name when i rode by..hahahaha Matt, sweet pair of shoes that i was in need of...oh yeah....they'll start their punishment next week.

did i say it was a fantastic course...was a bunch of fun and was kind of bummed when it ended, other than the pain setting in from yesterday's race telling me no more.
