dos

ahh, the rollers treated me well last night. was a great ride for the body, mind and soul. now my junk on the other hand isn't too happy, but.....hey that's just the breaks. and the added bonus is that i get to wear desiten which is essentially straight up zinc oxide in a nice thick cream compound. it smells great and sooths all the owie spots..

so another topic of today's blog, well yesterday's to be more precise is when one has to pee while riding a bike...

-now outside have mastered the coasting pee: where one pees while not stopping, so the junk has to be pulled down a leg hole, or up and over the bibs. only down side to this one is that there tends to be splatter and with h2o bottles in close proximity i only do this one when necessary like while racing a long stage.
-the typical one foot down: one is stopped with one foot on the ground while the other is still clipped into the pedal (usually left for me as to not pee toward traffic). the foot clipped in steadies the bike while the junk goes down through leg hole, or up over the bibs.
-both feet down: reccommended for the early morning long pee just as it sounds, both feet on the ground, getting completely off the bike is sometimes done, but if you do get off your bike you have to find a suitable place to lean it or have a buddy hold it for you. i prefer to stand over the bike and rotate a bit to avoid a possible mess..note: don't get distracted and turn the other way, yuck!
-the toilet pee: this one is really tough. where one needs an actual toilet to releive themselves...not usually a prob for most guys, but gals in this department that plumbing thing didn't work out to your advantage...you could always try a F.U.D. (that's female urination device for those who didn't grow up reading back packer magazine). common problems are finding a suitable toilet.. if your nice and buy something from a gas station they will usually help you out. port-o-potty's they get the job done, but can be GRODY...espically at races where everyone's stomaches are doing jumping jacks..not to mention there is usually a fairly long line...as it seems everyone else forgot to pee before they left home/hotel/camp...

life would be easier with a pair of these pants, ease of access great, not my idea of comfort though. could you imagine what that little zipper thingy would do downstairs while riding a centruy.....ahhhh, the mere thought hurts. and what can i say the sweet purple color just isn't my style....
this evenings ride should be nice, long but nice.. 2hrs mellow z1 or lower.. prob do it on my tt rig as i'm feeling much better in that position and want to keep that going...
