wed, dmv

all in all wed was a good day. worked for a bit, then headed home to get ready to go race dmv.. last week rmr and dmv were canceled due to the strange rain we seem to be getting hammered with, prob why rmr had such a big field on tues... so anyway it was nice to go hit the dmv.

tried to meet up with kelly, dave and jex for the ride out but they didn't show and i wanted to be to dmv with some breathing room so i went out solo... on redwood road carl caught on then as we turned west hooch joined us, only to flat shortly after so we left him behind. found out later that kelly and jex didn't go out to race and dave prob has pneumonia after high unitas, ouch.

the field was reasonable and about where it should be for dmv as the course is somewhat tight and turny. first lap is neutral, so it was fairly mellow, i started on the line so as we finished our first lap, i was on the front drillin it for the first 10+ laps. one person attacks would try to go but i mean come on, that race is 45min, do you really think your gonna go by yourself and hold it for that long??? finally something reasonable happened, there were 5 away. i gave them a lap to see if it was gonna hold, then i went and solo bridged it. we had 6...when i got there i said we have a gap lets go.. the first 2 laps we stayed away as wild man, casey and i were working hard to do so, seemed like everyone else wanted a free ride....jerks....i said: "we have 6 how come only 3 of us are doing all the work?" someone was smarting off and said: "because we're stupid" well not stupid, but this wasn't going to stick with only 3 of us working and not really being in a good rhythm. then all hell broke loose, a lapper tried to get in the mix with us and F'd the whole thing up....now usually i wouldn't be so angry about this but it just so happened to be morgan stanley(see some previous posts about what a marvelous bike handler this guy is)...so anyway he jumps in and f's up what rythm we had, and screws up the smooth fast corners we were taking... i yelled: "get the hell out of this group, we're away" he replies: "i'm not going anywhere as you guys attacked while there was a crash".....shit, i was at the front drillin it, i didn't even know there was a crash (come to find out later it was in the C/D group, you idiot, if you slowed for that or got caught behind it, it's your own dam fault) after another corner he ducked out, but the follow group can thank him for helping pull us back.....asshole.....(yes cursing) after we were all together again, i took a short break then went right back to the front and began to drill it again. casey and wild man got away again, so i just did the classic block and let them get some distance, some were trying to bridge it back like some a-hole from racers cycle service (they all seem to be such DB's, i just don't understand it) this guy cut off 5 riders on the descent to gain 1-2 places what a jerk...i let him sit out there and try, when he pooped out and we swallowed him up i pushed the pace a bit and we left him behind.....hahahahahaha he prob didn't learn his lesson, but he wasn't in contention for any kind of a good finish... joker from golson, and a skull candy guy and some rmcc's were trying to bring it back but with gardner and i screwing up any kind of attempt it made it nearly impossible...

the ride home was nice rode with hooch and carl...they kept telling me that i was pushin it hard, well i wanted to get home and sell the grill.....yeah, gone...and get some other things done like shower....

good racin, casey took 1st 2 days in a row, very good.......he was happy and i know he appreciated the help.......your turn is comin up to be that blocker....i wanna start getting in the points, and winning races..

**forgot to mention that just before i turn to head down my street, i front flatted....so yeah that kind of sucked but the barefooted walk down the street wasn't bad..haha**
