dmv, small group

spend the day getting some stuff done around the house and getting ready to go to interbike after the race tonight..

jason and i met up and rode out to dmv, no one else showed up, although there were lots of the usual suspects out there that should have showed up...oh well..

the group tonight at dmv was fairly small... so i did what i usually do and drill the pace, lap after lap.. i got away a couple times and all but the jackass from skullcandy seemed content letting me go... when i would get back in the group jackass would promptly sit in and not help keep the pace high... finally i said to him, get your ass up there and do some work...so what does he do, attack..figgures...what a jackass.. with about 4 to go wildman took a flyer and held it for the win, hooch picked up the pace coming around the back section of the course, motobacon went with him, as did skull jackass and myself.. i took the final corner hot, and my rear wheel was sliding through (later jason called me out on it as it almost had a bad effect on him) i managed to pull it back together and snag 4th...and put the spank down on motobacon so that felt nice...good sprint for me, up the hill.

we had a semi group on the way home, jason flatted, so we all stopped while he got it together..then back on the road. i was pushin the pace as i wanted to get in the car and get the drive to vegas over with...

got home threw the final items in the car, parker showed up and we were underway. about 15min away, i realized that i had forgot something fairly important so we had to turn back and get it...shiz, but oh well.....back on the road to the UC, car hopped then i was drivin...happy to do so in a car that has cruise control.. i made it till just after midnight then was time to turn the driver position over to someone else.. we got online and made a reservation for circus circus..as they wouldn't take one over the phone, weird.. rolled into town, found the hotel, went to check in and found out we made the res for tomorrow night(or tonight that is as it's 3:15am.....hahahaha....shit so we booked another room for what's left of the morning with the grouchiest, rudest person in the hotel system...i mean she even beats out snags from that craphole in ft collins.. so we schlepped all our gear over to the room only to find out that we could have drove over as there were plenty of places to park.. climbed in bed and i couldn't drift off....crap.... finally did...
