dam front bench......

monday was a rest day, well a rest day for cycling anyway......got up early and went into work...only to be put right on the front bench first thing......and told i would be relieved at 1 when party boy showed up....lies......
OK, so working the front bench sucks for for the following reasons:
1. i'm a scut bike builder, that's all i want to do
2. i don't wanna deal with stupid people and their dumb probs
3. i hate working my arse off on the bench and when i need something done on the spot walking to the back only to see the people that are supposed to be working hard at the days repairs (there's too many so they need me on the front so they can get them all done) talking on their cell phone, texting, surfing the net, chatting, whatever...you name it it's been done even washing their own car....yeah...i hate the work ethic and the time theft that goes on every day...hence why i hang in the back and plug away at building bikes.
4. did i already say dealing with stupid ass people and the probs.... oh i need this today, what do you mean you your booked till friday? well you can pay an express service fee and get it sooner....
5. getting pulled away from building to help people make life changing decisions on what $200 kids bike to buy.....i mean it's $200 if it lasts them 2 years it's worth it....
6. getting pulled away to answer q's about what tube is better (hint they are all the same, it's like oil filters looks like we're painting them orange today and putting them in the orange box....tubes: oh looks like we're putting them in this box today...)
7. getting yelled at for not being on the bench, usually for stupid reasons like putting a bike in the rack, or getting a bike for a customer, or filling a water bottle....
8. how much it drains the ever lovin life out of me to deal with stupid people all day long
9. how much it drains the urge to do anything else the rest of the day out of me.
10. only being able to build 2, that's right 2 bikes a day, where usually i would build 8-12.
11. getting asked by sales pukes to do this right now as this customers wife is buying a bike right now....and then they don't even take it home with them, the repair or the bike she WAS buying

only fair to list the things i like about the front bench:
1. seeing friends and getting chat with them as it's bike related
2. goofing off with some customers
3. goofing off with harward while he's doing a fit
4. watching some of the stupid shit the sales pukes do
5. think that's all.........

after work, went to p-town to hang with lac....was nice other than have to watch some crazy ass real life show...i hate tv....dinner was tasty though..mmmm...cafe rio...mmmmm
