dmv = 2nd place in a 2 man break.

how it went:

met jason at 6pm...he and i rode out...and chatted it up.

got there said a few hi's, the went over and registered....grouped everyone together and had a talk about the race....it was a serious one that consisted of: OK, ride smart.....really......

so off we go, 1st lap neutral.....then spin starts attacking...a couple small groups got off but seemed like their time away was short...funny though how some teams will chase their own guys down..dumb craps.. a small group just got pulled back and the only mib dork was on the front, pulled off to the side to rake a rest, i mean pull longer than 10sec wimp... i even said it to him, then as we head down the hill i ride up the left side say to justin from spin lets f-ing go, and i drilled it as hard as i could for the entire lap...we were away and there was 20min left of racing... we got into a nice rhythm as he would pull into the windy straight, through the climb and the parking area then i would take over on the downhill and fast corners through to the straight again... we were staying away, i know my mates were blocking, but from some of the photos it looks like some of his mates were trying to bridge....arrrg...

on the bell lap, he sat on my wheel the entire lap and when i heard him getting ready to come by i tried to play it smart and get in a different gear and jump on his wheel then nab him at the line, well........i bobbled and it didn't quite go that way... oh well 2nd sure feels a hell of a lot like first.....i had a blast racing dmv this week, first race in a long time that actually felt like a race.

somewhere in the mix going up the hill another rider (spin dentist guy) made contact with jason and did enough to take him out of the race....not too happy about that but sometimes that's how it goes..

jason and i rode home with a couple other guys, was a fairly mellow ride, but you know me i continued to push the pace....i like a good burn......
