the plan was to get up early and get a couple things done around the house, well that didn't happen, must have been beat from tdpc still...... rolled out of bed in just enough time to leave late for a ride into work...oh well that's how it goes... the ride in was mentally difficult.. i did have a good experience with a UTA bus driver though that took my mind off of being on the bike... we were leapfrogging as he would stop to pick up/drop off.. he merged in front of me, and prob shouldn't have so at the next light i confronted him about it and all i can say was he was super cool and apologized and said i'm trying, i know your back there.....and all in all it was very good... i wasn't angry and feel that both he and i handled the situation very well... we leapfrogged a little bit more till finally he beat me through a light and that was that..
work was ok, was happy to be in the back doing my thing....in the morning i didn't say a word to casey and i think he could tell it wasn't a day to try to push any buttons.... i was fine with that... i messed with party boy a bit and he messed with me right back...he even threatened to sick his 4' nothin hippie girlfriend on me..hahahaha wuss.... blake was in a good mood as his new 2010 tarmac pro arrived...pretty nice lookin, he didn't build it but i'm sure he did later that evening.. near closing time i was checked out and kind of just wanted to head home, but there's always something else to do so i worked the front bench for a little bit, helped a couple customers, worked on a build....then it was time.....i got changed, partly, punched out and got on home..
the ride home was interesting... **caveat: i have mentioned before that i don't really like people drafting me, esp if it's not a race and if i don't know you.** so underway, riding mellow and before i know it some jerkoff is on my wheel.... at first i drop the hammer and loose him but then i realized where my hr was and i had to back it off, my quads were also killing me... i looked back and he had caught back on so i pulled off and let him go by.. he then begins to drill it....what a jackass, but i didn't really care as i didn't want anything to do with him anyway... he lost his juice and had to slow down so i was right on him again rather quick.... i stayed back about 10' as i didn't want to sit on his wheel **common courtesy** he would look back and see me every now and then but i wasn't going to change what i was doing...as i knew if i went in front of him he would be on me..... at a light he fumbled his clip in and i drilled it again...bye, bye.... next light he finally caught me again and just in time for the light to go green... so away he went... i was back on him again quick and was content right where i was... then he turned off and i was happy to be on my own again riding my pace....
got home, unpacked...got a couple things done, had some food...showered...went to bed...sleep is good...
who knows what will come tomorrow......
