bad points (will be numbered)
1. wasted time waiting for some jackass to come look at something i have listed on ksl, no show and to let myself vent a little bit this is like a $25 item and i've wasted so much time with this guy answering q's, making measurements, waiting around....i'd be lead to believe he's buying a new car or something.
back on track, went to work, was a good morning, casey wasn't in, although i learned later the he was expected in the afternoon. built a sweet rig, then kind of got tossed around while people were doing lunch, got jason's frame rolling for him and some cages and other goodies...he's excited even though he's not going to be able to build it till next week, and he mentioned he's gonna try to score a red group to put on it...nice.
2. got stuck on the front bench.....not all that bad but it def takes its toll. was building a pretty nice rig but just couldn't get into a rhythm as i kept getting pulled away. it's funny how lack of planning leads to emergency situations, and this happens often.....at work and i seem to get the short end of the stick when it does, like working the front bench...
anyway, t-rock came in so got to hang and catch up with him a bit...he told me they're having a boy, i already knew but he was happy so i went with it.. the front bench was mayhem.... met the new skins rep, nice guy. i didn't have a ton of time to spend chatting with him as i was trying to get the hell out of dodge so i could go race, and i had some parts to scrub as well....so i excused myself and got the parts scrubbed... as i was starting db came over and said "are you on the clock" yes i was i had forgotten, but luckily wasn't scrubbing for long, so i went over and punched out....pissed me off though since he feels it's ok to get changed on the clock for lunch rides on his way out and back in.....kind of asinine....so next time i notice that i'll call him out on it.
anyway got parts scrubbed, got my crap off the bench, passed out the remainder of cinnamon bears i had and made my way out to the car.. blake was close behind asking a q for pratt that i already asked him to order and did things his way, but there were still q's....nice.....anyway told blake and away i went..
was out later than i wanted to be, but that's how it goes.. still managed to stop at lowes and return some stuff and get the final ducting pieces i need to finish that up... called jason on my way home from there so he could come get his frame...left him a message.. got home started getting ready to go race, jason called and asked if i was home...he didn't get my message..haha so he came by just as i was getting out of the shower..hahahaha nice timing.. he was excited, and pulled it out of the box and i could tell he was super excited..good for him. continued getting ready to go race... out the door i went to the meeting place, waited till 6, then i headed west toward dmv. passed jex along the way he was headed home, flipped around and he said it was ugly windy and rainy so he was calling it... i said i'm gonna chance it and continued on.. was only 10min in and it was time to turn around....hail and wind had done me in..it was down right ugly....... i only hope they called the race for the evening..... it was nasty on the short ride home.. i made a couple calls so people didn't drive out and started working plans for the rest of the evening.
went to squatters and had some fries and dinner with lac..was nice and mellow except it was noisy as the group near us was a little rowdy...guess we should have sat at the bar.. no word from t-mo...wtf??? oh well, maybe next time your in town.
from there came home, i was feeling grody and sticky.....wanted to shower....
not explaining the rest....but one could say that this is where things got worse....and i guess the day wasn't all that bad other than not being able to ride/race......and the end of the day......oh well
