rmr and the drama of being me

so the day started out quite nice.. i rolled out of bed on my terms, got a couple things done around the house, got my bike cleaned up (it was gross), was expecting to go to brunch (fell through, but that's ok), hung out with lac....went to the grocery store and got some bread, got ready to race.

usual dealio, meet with the usual suspects and ride out to rmr, good times i rode out with florez so we got to catch up, so that was nice. got to the track, registered, rode around, met with the mates and talked about the race plan.

how the race unfolded: right from the gun clark and someone else go, and they had a descent go at that, think they stayed away for 3 laps...but 45min, come on guys who you kiddin you needed a couple more guys. there were several other breaks but they just didn't have the combination of people to make it happen, and when there was a right combo the pack chased hard. rmcc kept sending people off the front solo in hopes that they would stay away and to try to wear the field down as they didn't have to work, not that they do anyway (most of them anyway). as for me i was staying near the front shoeing people away that would roll up the side and want to duck in, come on go to the front and get in the wind, don't come up and expect some one to let you in. i went on a couple little attacks but like i said before if there's strong guys they don't let it get away.
this is where the shiz hitz the fan: about 35min into the race the A's come by..first group was small 3-4 racers, the next group was bigger. we slowed and i was on the front. the group of A's ahead had some distance so i held pace, my mate next to me slowed the pace, then the A's also slowed the pace. i looked back and saw that i had a gap and said to myself what the hell, may as well see if they'll let me go...so they did and i did my damnedest to stay away from the A's, even though some of them sat on my wheel to get up to the main group, i would stay on the opposite side of the track, not sit behind them and i def was not trying to get on any of their wheels. as i passed the start/finish for the first time that i was away i got a 3 laps to go, nice, i think i can hold it.... i kept the pace high but also kept a close eye on my hr. i was away solo for over a lap and a half before the group caught me. when the group caught me someone, marek, yelled: "you know your out right?" i was like bull shit... i didn't do anything wrong..i was pissed and continued to race hard. i was in great position for what i though was the last lap, but it was actually leading into the last lap, oops.. so i jockeyed for position again and was in a so~so place... sprinted it out and settled into 9th. great i was happy...
more shiz hitz the fan: results are a bit of a cluster-fuck....i mean i know the officials try to get what they can and in a big race it's difficult so i tend to be fairly mellow.. as for tonight the person helping with results had the first 5 or so.....so marek comes over and "corrects" up to the top 6..then he continues down the list and we get to 9th...well i step in as 8th passed me close to the line and then marek steps in again and says: "nope your out, you jumped in with the A's" uhhh, no, try again please... no one else said a word, no one....... so i was like yeah that's bullshit.. he and i go over to the official and i stand there and listen to him, marek, speak his mind and how i "cheated." i try to say a few words and marek jumps right into the conversation again and won't let it go. i turned to him and politely said: "you already said your piece, now let me say mine." right....no dice there so the official and i go away from where he was standing and we chat for a few moments....our chat was interrupted many times as he was trying to start another race and tend to other stuff... finally we sorted through some things, and whatever.. i voiced my concern that "someone" seems hell bent on being out to get me, i mean he did put me in the ditch at dmv a couple weeks ago... the official said: "i'll keep my eye on him" great thanks.. marek was still trying to lecture me, i rolled away and said, you know what it doesn't matter, it's not going to change anything.

so:
-the rules only apply if your in a move and marek isn't in the move with you
-it only takes one bad seed to screw up something good
-since it's marek's race he gets the last word in how things went down and there's no changing that
-one of the best things i did tonight was: while marek wasn't letting me speak, going and standing directly between him and the official and turning my back to him, marek that is
-another good thing i did this evening was prove once again that i am the stronger rider and marek has to lie to get points for him and his team
-he's guilty of exactly the same, i was in the break with you and YES you and i both drafted off the A's and no one called us out on it, that won't be the case next time
-you still don't go to the front and pull
-and when you get to the front in a rotation of sorts you follow the rider in front of you over to the side so some one else can take a pull, pussy
-you don't race as a courteous racer should
-you don't set a good example for your team or anyone else
-your a dick
-you don't ever shut up, until you know you got your way, and they you want to continue to speak your mind
-your never gonna beat me in a race again
-your team will never beat us in a points series
-your shop sucks
-your shop's staff sucks
-you can say whatever you want but the entire group sees what happens every race and that would be you not working, you trying to take control of how you think the results should be, you putting strong guys who do a hell of a lot of work in the ditch for lame ass excuse reasons, me drilling it at the front, me doing more work than your whole team put together, me still placing in the top 15 even after i've done the majority of the work....this list could go on and take so many directions that i'm gonna stop.....

yes, i've realized that it's 12:30AM....and i know i won't be able to sleep so why fight it...but i do think it's time for a shower....and an attempt to dose off, maybe i'll put in a boring movie.
